About the opportunity
As an Employment Coach your purpose is to drive quality disability service provision, fostering person centered practices for all supported employees, in alignment with commercial outcomes and in partnership with site leaders and other relevant support staff.
This is achieved by a constant emphasis on attraction, induction and development of supported employees through individualized supports, ongoing training and capacity building.
As an Employment Coach, you will:
Create and seek opportunities that enable supported employees to appreciate their potential and explore pathways suitable to their needs Identify relevant and appropriate skill development and vocational goals during Individual Support Plan meetings with supported employees, their families or guardians, to develop and implement a plan that may involve our onsite support worker Ensure supported employees are given opportunities to make their own choices and decisions, in regard to their support needs, goals and ambitions.
Regularly review supported employees progress towards identified goals and formally record updates using the Individual Support Plan Ensure supported wage assessments are scheduled, and pre-timings completed in a timely manner and supported employees are supported and informed of the process.
Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes in line with organisational policies, procedures, and guidelines applicable to the National Disability Insurance Agency.
Lead and mentor support workers to deliver person-centered employment supports to supported employees that enable them to maintain employment and to maximise their independence, competence and integration in the workplace This is a full-time position Based at: Sunnybank Hills
About you:
We are seeking motivated and values driven individuals to join our Commercial division as an Employment Coach.
Your care and dedication to each supported employee will be evident by the hard work you put in:
Qualifications or recent experience in the Disability Sector Skills and knowledge associated with working within a positive behavior support framework Interpersonal and communication skills required to develop and maintain relationships with supported employees, their families and/or guardians Knowledge of current government funding arrangements in particular the NDIS framework Positive attitude with a high level of customer service, networking and stakeholder engagement skills Proficient in use of MS office and other management systems Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individual support plans and participate in effective session planning activities that aim to support employee goals Demonstrated understanding of risk management principles and the effective application of risk management strategies in service and support planning activities Demonstrated experience in complex case management How to apply for this role?
