Responsibilities Enforce animal control regulations by issuing warnings and citations to owners. Enforce municipal and provincial regulations. Enforce parking by-laws on city streets, regional roads, and municipal properties. Investigate complaints from commercial and residential property owners and occupants. Investigate public complaints. Issue citations. Perform animal control bylaw duties, such as capturing and impounding lost, homeless, and dangerous animals. Respond to citizen complaints concerning stray domestic animals, livestock, and wildlife. Investigate properties in violation of zoning and related by-laws on receipt of building permit applications. Investigate properties in violation of zoning and related by-laws, after receiving requests for license clearances pertaining to zoning and related by-laws.
