The Employee Relations Manager will provide subject matter expertise and governance for workplace relations (industrial relations and employee relations) commitments and requirements to effectively manage and maintain positive relationships between the business and its employees that align to our ING strategy.
This position is critical in mitigating and managing risk and supporting compliance across the spectrum of related topics relevant to employment.
The Employee Relations Manager will partner with senior stakeholders to develop and implement relevant workplace relations initiatives, resources and best practice programs, the role will be responsible for customized content creation, ongoing design and management of domain specific programs and delivery of projects to meet current and future needs.

What you'll do Provide leadership, oversight, management, and technical expertise for all matters relating to employment legislation and regulation and workplace disputes, grievances, and negotiations.Provide in-depth technical and functional subject matter expertise for the creation and design of frameworks in line with legislation and regulations to support a consistent approach and process for disciplinary and performance management issues.Provide advice on impact of legislation or regulatory changes on ING's employment instruments, policy and process across HR lifecycle and make recommendations accordingly.Ensure employment contracts comply with legal requirements and are aligned with the enterprise agreement.Coach, train and support senior leaders and people managers to increase understanding and enable proactive resolution of ER matters.Investigate, manage, and resolve complex employee complaints and workplace relations issues including grievance procedures and mediation services in a timely manner.Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to drive change and continual improvement in behaviours.Review and communicate workplace policies, processes, and procedures to ensure employee treatment is consistent with ING's Orange Code and legislative requirements.What we're looking for Extensive experience in providing expert technical and specialised ER/IR advice, including drafting relevant documentation.Minimum 10 years' experience in a HR Business Partnering role and/or Employment Law.Proven knowledge of HR and workplace issue management and employment legislation.Proven experience in effectively educating people leaders and HR professionals to build ER knowledge and capability that aligns with the organisation's employment risk appetite.Ability to successfully navigate challenging situations to bring participants to an outcome, particularly at the senior executive level.Ability to effectively engage and manage external experts (including legal).Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to build relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders.What's in it for you?
