Role: Employment Relations Business Partner
Location: Murarrie, Brisbane ( Turrbal and Yuggera Country) flexible working 2 days per week in the office
Employment Type : 10mth Fixed Term, Full Time

Join our People Specialist team to translate Goodstart's People strategies into impactful actions.
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you'll design balanced people solutions, mitigate risks, and enhance employee experiences, driving our integrated ER and HR Compliance strategy aligned with Goodstart's values and goals
Your Impact:
The People Specialist Employment Relations contributes to Goodstart's culture as a great place to work by applying their deep understanding of the legislation and best practice to design people solutions that ensure the right balance of risk mitigation, employee experience and fairness is delivered. Collaborating with the broader People Team you will identify areas of HR compliance vulnerability and risk, proposing remediation and improvements in line with Goodstart's KPIs. This position is integral to driving an integrated employee relations (ER) and HR Compliance strategy that aligns with Goodstart's culture and strategic priorities.
Our cases are managed by our People Support team, and you will apply your expertise in coaching the team where there are case escalations through to resolution. Our aim is to continually upskill and build capability within the team and across the organisation.
As part of your role you will co-lead any work where we need to be represented in the commission, and will support the implementation of a new EA especially in understanding the needs to the People Support Team.

You'll bring to the table:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Law, or equivalent experience
Deep knowledge of national and state-based employment legislation, including (but not limited to) Fair Work Act, Bullying legislation, Discrimination and privacy legislation, WHS legislation
Skilled in the management and development of complex Employee Relations case management, including support documents, case conciliation etc.
Achieve positive people outcomes whilst mitigating risk
Change Management skills highly regarded
Strong business acumen, using your understanding to connect people strategy to the achievement of business outcomes
Leveraging your proven partnering experience with engagement at a senior level, to influence and shape exceptional employee experiences
A passion for working collaboratively, and using you strong communication skills to effectively coach, negotiate with, and influence others
Maintaining a continuous improvement mindset
Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Ability to remain respectful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations
