Employee Experience Coordinator

Details of the offer

Hybrid: Tuesdays & Thursdays in Office
RMIT Online is on the hunt for a full-time Employee Experience Coordinator to join our People team! As the Employee Experience Coordinator, you'll be the backbone of our organisation, providing high-level support to our People Team, CEO, Executive Team, and the entire RMIT Online crew.
In this fast-paced, dynamic role, you'll combine HR coordination, executive assistance, and office management, giving you the chance to interact with every part of the business and see the immediate impact of your work on our team and culture.
This role requires someone with a growth mindset who thrives in ambiguity. You'll lean into challenges, embrace new opportunities, and bring strong initiative and problem-solving prowess to the table. Whether you're researching new initiatives, coordinating high-level projects, or resolving unexpected issues, you'll approach each day with energy and a can-do attitude.
You'll join us in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days, in line with our hybrid-first approach. You're client-focused and excel at building relationships across all levels of the organisation, connecting seamlessly with team members from all backgrounds. Organised and adaptable, you'll manage priorities with ease, always maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
With your positive, tech-savvy attitude and keen attention to detail, you'll be an ideal fit for our forward-thinking team—ready to make a meaningful impact while constantly growing and learning.
Who is RMIT Online?
At RMIT Online, we're all about delivering cutting-edge digital learning experiences with a sharp focus on the future of work. Through collaboration with industry leaders and experts, we create practical, real-world courses that help learners thrive in their careers.
Our mission is to build a community of lifelong learners, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to stay ahead in an ever-evolving workforce. We're a passionate, nimble team of around 120, dedicated to making education more accessible, engaging, and innovative.
About the Role
As our Employee Experience Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of RMIT Online's day-to-day operations. On the HR front, you'll bring structure and efficiency to our systems and employee engagement programs. This includes maintaining HR tools like Workday and Culture Amp, coordinating feedback and learning sessions, and keeping Confluence documentation up-to-date. As part of our Brainfood learning sessions, you'll play a key role in helping team members grow, develop, and thrive.
Additionally, you'll provide some support to the CEO and the Executive team where you'll coordinate high-priority administrative tasks like managing the CEO's diary, organising essential meetings, and streamlining internal communications, keeping the leadership team focused and moving forward. Your flexibility and confidentiality will be key as you'll sometimes need to be onsite outside of our regular in-office days.
In this role, you'll drive an engaged employee experience, so you must be passionate about culture! From organising events to leading onboarding sessions, you'll cultivate a connected and positive workplace culture that makes every employee feel valued from day one. We'll be keen to see how you've nurtured culture in past roles, as building and maintaining strong relationships across the business is vital to success here.
Managing our hybrid office space will also fall within your scope. As our go-to person for office logistics, you'll handle everything from liaising with Property Services and managing supplies to overseeing mail and courier deliveries. With your eye for workplace safety, you'll ensure we're equipped for first aid, emergency training, and other health essentials, keeping our workplace secure and supportive.
Why This Role Rocks
You'll join a small yet mighty People team, full of impressive professionals from whom you can learn directly. This team thrives on growth, learning, and fostering a meaningful workplace culture. Whether you're supporting the leadership team, coordinating impactful events, or researching new initiatives, you'll play a key role in keeping RMIT Online running smoothly and efficiently.
This is your chance to make a real impact in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. You'll thrive in a role that offers variety, where no two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to stretch a wide range of skills. If you've ever wanted to make a tangible difference to workplace culture while leveraging your HR and coordination experience—while balancing exciting events and projects—this is the perfect role for you. And with our flexible hybrid model, you'll get the best of both worlds: a collaborative office environment on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the freedom to work remotely for the rest of the week.
This is the role where you can truly shine, grow, and make an impact, all while working alongside some incredible people across the business.
A Typical Week in This Role
No day will be the same! You'll split your time between supporting the CEO and Executive team, coordinating HR activities, and managing office logistics. Each week will bring new challenges and opportunities to make a real impact. One moment, you might be supporting the Talent Acquisition Manager with interview scheduling or drafting contracts for new hires; the next, you're coordinating the annual 360 feedback process or assisting the People & Culture Manager with engagement surveys.
Whether you're researching options for new initiatives, scheduling high-level meetings, or welcoming new employees and getting them settled, you'll play an essential role in ensuring RMIT Online runs smoothly and efficiently.
Our Hybrid Work Vibe
Due to the collaborative nature of this role, you'll be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Outside of these days, you're free to work wherever brings out your best—whether that's home, the office, or a beach house! Your first week of onboarding will be spent in the Melbourne CBD office, and after that, it's all about flexibility.
We often gather together for company-wide Showcases and All-Hands meetings, complete with snacks, drinks, and plenty of fun! Plus, we attend quarterly Connection Sprints—think two days of team building, collaboration, and energy.

Some might think cover letters are outdated, but we see them as a test of your attention to detail—a critical skill for this role! So, tell us:

How you have previously contributed to building a positive culture and the impact it made.
Which Future Skills course excites you most and why?
