The Position
We have a terrific opportunity to join a supportive team in a high performing Emergency Department. This is the perfect placement to hone your skills and further your career with senior staff that are passionately committed to teaching and the professional development of their junior doctors.

The Location
Located on a pristine coastline, this city has well-developed infrastructure with a vibrant shopping district that spills onto the beach for seafood and coffee. The local countryside is renowned for its produce. You can buy award-winning cheese at the factory outlet and taste whisky at the cellar door. There are restaurants to linger in and well-stocked delis to tempt you with gourmet treats.

The Facility
Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the service has 2 major sites located approximately 50km apart. The Emergency Departments (ED) handle an estimated 30,000 patient visits annually, catering to a diverse patient population. One site serves as the regional trauma centre and has an admission rate of 25%, while the other is a sub-acute hospital offering limited services and a 15% admission rate. The ED has received accreditation from the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for 24 months of training, and an application for year 4 training is currently under review.

The Requirements
One or more of the following:
Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Emergency MedicineHold or be eligible for registration with AHPRAEligible for either the Standard pathway, Competent Authority, Short Term Training Pathway or Specialist Pathway.All IMG's who have completed AMC MCQ 1 and are eligible for the Standard Pathway.Those IMG's who are working in the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ and are eligible for the Competent Authority Pathway.IMG's who are either a Specialist in their home country or within a year of obtaining their Specialist qualification and are eligible for the Short Term Training Pathway.IMG's who have lodged their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable.For more information please Apply Now or call Thom on 0468 778 768.
