The Financial Accountant will work closely with the Accounts Payable Officer in daily vendor processing and assist the Senior Financial Accountant in completing the month-end tasks, as well as become a super user of ELMO's financial systems (including NetSuite, Xero, Salesforce).
Key Responsibilities: Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring completeness and adherence to accounting standards. Expense Management: Monitor and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with ELMO company policies. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Assist in Audits: Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring that all requested documentation is readily available. Tax Compliance: Assist in tax compliance efforts, including gathering necessary documentation for tax filings and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations. Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing financial analysis and reports to support decision-making and identify areas for financial improvement. Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Audit in a tier 1 company (preferable). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with Accounting Software programs/Business Intelligence tools (preferably Netsuite, Salesforce, Xero or alike). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
