Additionally, you will be supported by our specialist Communities of Practice for Claims, Return to Work, Injury Management and Mental Health.
How you'll make an impact Act as the first point of contact for injured workers, employers, medical practitioners, etc for all matters regarding a workplace injury claim; Conduct risk assessments and triage of claims severity to ensure barriers are identified and appropriate strategies implemented; Coordinate the claims lodgement process, ensuring key information is obtained from stakeholders to support the timely determination of a claim and requesting additional information where required; Undertake liability determinations for new, secondary or reopened claims in accordance with the relevant information and information at hand; Calculate Normal Weekly Earnings (NWE) for claims; Document relevant information from initial claims lodgement summaries to support a warm handover to Claims teams.
About you A passion for helping people, with experience in administration or customer service.
A background in workers compensation, claims or other related discipline would be highly regarded; Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation and with a varied set of stakeholders; A proactive and holistic mindset; Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail; Empathetic and enthusiastic, with a strong sense of team and collaboration; A resilient attitude.
