The Role
Programmed Industrial Maintenance is currently seeking experienced and qualified Electricians to join our maintenance team on afternoon and day shifts, for our clients in Melbourne CBD, Northern and South Eastern Suburbs. These role would consist of adhoc site coverage, shutdown project works, and site surge and leave coverage.
Successful applicants will have previous maintenance experience within the FMCG, food & beverage or light and heavy manufacturing industries and display a strong work ethic with a demonstrated commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
Exposure to Automated Industrial Environment and Maintenance
Attend to breakdowns and repairs.
Ability to solve complex problems, think outside the box and a drive for solution.
Knowledge sharing and assisting in upskilling operators to minimise breakdowns.
As part of the engineering team install and commission new equipment with a focus on ensuring the equipment consistently performs to the required function.
Ensure all machine settings are operationally correct and are set in accordance with supporting documentation.
Carry out preventative, planned corrective and reactive maintenance
Condition based maintenance and reliability-based maintenance inspections
Carry out repairs on faulty equipment and improve the reliability of the equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on equipment.
Skills, Experience and Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess the following;
Australian Recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
Hold a current A Grade Electrical licence & drivers' licence
Proficient in PLC fault finding, diagnostics, repair, and programming (Allen Bradley and Omron highly regarded)
Strong knowledge of VSD, soft starters and motor control troubleshooting
Experience in set up and fault finding of instrumentation, such as RDT & pressure transmitters and valves
Working knowledge of electrical control systems for service equipment such as CNC machinery, conveyor belts, packaging, robotics, palletisers, and inspection equipment
High risk qualifications - Highly regarded (Forklift, Elevated Work Platform)
Experience working with CMMS systems and reports.
