The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 3 new bucket-wheel reclaimers including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services.
The Project also includes the design and construction of MOF (Marine Offloading Facility) to support the delivery and transportation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary:As Electrical Supervisor, you will be assigned to a field construction organization in a supervisory capacity within an EPCM team where you will be responsible for supervising and directing operations.
It will be your role to supervise electrical and instrumentation works contractor activities and others, ensuring assigned construction operations and works contractors' performance is following specifications and within schedules and budgets.
Major Responsibilities:Responsible for field electrical construction operations within assigned discipline or area.Monitor all critical risk safety activities.Determines workforce requirements.
Coordinates established area operational plans.Schedules work to be performed, and reviews work accomplished by works contractors.
Monitors work activities and ensures the quality of work performed.Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.Prepares reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft professional forecasts, and expenditures forecast.Other responsibilities as designated.Education and Experience Requirements:A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, orSpecialized courses in construction technology and management, and/orPrior practical work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.Experience on a small- to medium-sized project, coordinates and directs multi-discipline works contractor activities within a specific area of the project, or all related works contractor activities of a single discipline covering all areas of the project.Required Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Incident Performance Philosophy.Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field marine construction activities.Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.Knowledge of the use of contracts, and the works contractor's responsibilities contained in contract documents.Experience working with, supervising and administering works contractors in an EPCM environment.Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
