About the Role The Electrical Supervisor role is accountable for ensuring the safe installation, operational availability and maintenance of all MWPA's Electrical infrastructure. Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, the Electrical Supervisor is to be committed to developing and achieving MWPA's integrated business objectives that deliver value to our stakeholders and to ensure effective management systems are in place and implemented in accordance with legislative and relevant Standards.
About You Key Qualifications and experience (Selection Criteria items to be addressed in Covering Letter):
'A' Grade Electrical Workers LicenceElectrical trade with at least 6 years post trade experience in mining or heavy industryHigh Voltage Switching ticket or the ability to obtainHave a current inhouse Electrical ticket or the ability to obtain oneHigh Risk Worker Licence to perform- (LF) Forklift, (WP) Elevated Work PlatformSupervisory experience in a Port, Bulk Handling Material or Marine environmentExperience in managing PLC control, control networks and SCADA systems;Experience in maintaining high voltage distribution systems;Ability to be nominated as proxy MWPA Electrical SupervisorExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with high level decision making and negotiation skills.Excellent organisational, time, task, and priority managementStrong computer literacy (Microsoft suite, email, internet, computer aided project management systems, stock control & order systems).20 days Annual Leave per annum (pro rata)Professional Development and Training OpportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Recognition ProgramEligibility to Apply:Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
