About the Role We have a current opportunity for Electrical Supervisors to join our Fixed Plant team.
These unique opportunities within Port Maintenance are ideally suited to an individual seeking to develop their leadership skills to further support their career aspirations.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent Execution, you will be responsible for: Ensure conformance with the BHP policies and procedures and relevant WHS and statutory obligations.
Responsible for upkeep and compliance to the electrical area log book.
Bridging and overriding is compiled to as per procedure.
As an Appointed Person, you are required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations in accordance with your appointment.
Responsible for electrical plant health and development of long-term reliability of fixed plant.
Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensuring compliance to the Safety Management Plans during shutdowns, specifically targeting the areas of Material Risk control and technical ability.
Liaise with Operations and Maintenance teams to validate and evaluatescope, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities.
Communication and engagement with all relevant stakeholders.
Operating within an established maintenance management system, your key focus will be to promote a high level of team interaction and coordination.
Monitoring and measuring standards of work and performance of team members.
About You The successful candidate will possess the following: Current Western Australian Electrical Licence.
S26 Electrical statutory appointment, experience or ability to obtain.
Current unrestricted Drivers Licence.
Strong leadership experience in leading & developing teams.
Excellent knowledge of plant and equipment.
Highly developed analytical problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Safety focus with the ability to identify and implement safe work practices.
Ability to follow plans clearly and concisely within a maintenance environment, demonstrating a sound knowledge of maintenance practices.
