About the Role An opportunity has become available for an Electrical Superintendent in Hexham NSW for Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit reporting into the Area Manager. This role will be a Monday to Friday based position assisting Downer's projects located in and around the Hexham region. You will provide day to day supervision of discipline or multidiscipline teams in the planning and delivery of work, to meet safety, financial and productivity targets. The ideal candidate will envision themselves with duties such as:
Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, and project-specific requirements, in accordance with client/contract document specifications and in accordance with Downer Policies & Procedures Monitor and coordinate the placement of operational staff with specific emphasis on minimising company overhead and maximising utilisation in line with company utilisation figures Supervision of up to 30 people Foster and maintain a collaborative, high-performing and client-oriented culture of continuous improvement and effectively lead a large workforce to support delivery of strategic objectives Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control Review & understand works scopes, develop resource plans and programs to meet financial and contractual targets and ensure that risks are identified and effectively managed Manage team member performance against their role accountabilities and Downer Standards of Business Conduct as necessary About You Electrical background with tertiary qualifications in a construction or related field Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to supervise and delegate responsibilities to direct reports Strong understanding of safety regulations and policies Leadership & human resources management skills Minimum 10 years' experience within the industry Experience or exposure within industrial plant Exposure and experience with project planning, execution and delivery Hold a White Card, Confined Space & Working at Heights tickets What We Offer Monday to Friday based position Local site travel in and around the Hexham NSW region Employee benefits including health and wellness initiatives Personalised career development and growth working with an industry leading team.
