Electrical Instrumentation This apprenticeship will provide you with a comprehensive practical and theoretical base to develop your electrical instrumentation skills.This apprenticeship also focuses on developing your safety which is high priority in the LNG industry.An Electrical Instrumentation apprentice's role is to assist in maintaining and enhancing the availability and integrity of instrument and electrical equipment and control systems.This role involves the routine maintenance of equipment including repair, fault finding and assisting with shutdown activities including the overhaul of equipment, such as gas turbines, compressors and generators.Tasks Throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain skills and experience across areas including: Interpreting electrical diagrams Operating and maintaining control systems Maintenance procedures and fault finding on electrical and process equipment The operation, application and control of electrical equipment Installing electrical wiring systems in industrial environments Carrying out checks and tests to ensure electrical installations are safe, in accordance with legislation and regulations Working in a team environment and display safe work behaviours Ensuring plant integrity by raising, administering and performing planned and corrective work maintenance of instrumentation and process control including flow, temperature, pressure and level Maintenance involving DCS and PLC Control Systems Exposure to installation and maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous areas Duration and Training This apprenticeship has a nominal term of five years.Your initial training will take place at Central Queensland University in Gladstone.After the induction, apprentices will commence on the job training with your host employer.Additional TAFE training blocks and other training courses will also be scheduled throughout this apprenticeship.Please note, all candidates must pass a colour blind test in order to be considered for this apprenticeship and possess a genuine interest and motivation to pursue a career in the electrical instrument trade area.Work experience within a trade is advantageous.Qualifications On successful completion of your apprenticeship with Programmed, you will receive: Certificate III in Instrumentation Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Systems Electrician) Prerequisites In order to be considered as a potential candidate for an Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship with Programmed, you will have completed: Secondary education to year 12, with relevant work experience or equivalent, OR Secondary education to year 11, with successful completion of (or completing) a pre-apprenticeship in the relevant field or equivalent.The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and attend regular drug and alcohol screens The ability to get to the LNG facility ferry terminal to travel To find out more, or to apply, or visit programmed.com.au/nettsqld Applications will close on the Friday 12th July 2024 Who we are As one of Australia's largest employers, we work with great companies all around Australia and New Zealand to give you the best opportunities to work when and where you want to.At Programmed, we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment which values and respects diverse styles, backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.We welcome and encourage women, people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent and people from diverse backgrounds to apply.So it's over to you.If you would like to join our team, APPLY now.To learn more about working with Programmed, we encourage you to visit our website.62204_171809517099280
