Our team is diverse, motivated and professional, aligning under our values of teamwork, integrity, quality, safety and sustainability.Job DescriptionAs a result of continuous company growth, GPA is looking for an enthusiastic Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Darwin team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing and growing team to develop your skills to the next level.To be successful in this position you will have completed a Bachelor or above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and have had a minimum of five (5) years' experience working in an industrial engineering role. You must also have a legal entitlement to work in Australia and be able to obtain necessary security clearances if required.Key DutiesDevelopment and modification of low voltage electrical design drawings (such as single line diagrams, schematics, wiring, termination diagrams, panel layouts, equipment general arrangements) for industrial power and control systems.Selection/specification of industrial instrumentation.Selection/sizing/specification of low voltage electrical equipment.Assisting with and reviewing multidisciplinary deliverables.Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.Proposal preparation and engineering cost estimates.Developing plans and scopes of work for the installation of Instrument/Electrical systems.Light and LV Power Electrical Calculations (Lighting modelling, electrical power system modelling, maximum demand, cable sizing calculations).Developing reports for calculation results.Desired Skills and ExperienceIt's essential you have a minimum of five (5) years proven technical experience.You'll be a critical thinker with great attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills.Proficient understanding of key Australian standards including AS3000.Background in detailed specification of LV switchgear, LV equipment and instrumentation for heavy industrial applications is essential.Significant experience in industrial electrical design engineering.Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Background in electrical system studies (including AS3000 cable sizing, protection and controls – ideally through PowerCAD software).Control system design and specification (including industrial networks, automation equipment, instrumentation and control devices) with an awareness of ISA95 compliant architectures.Designing and modifying control system network architecture drawings.Desirable but not essentialPrevious experience in leading delivery of E&I projects, including experience running tenders, tender evaluations and procurement support.As a multi-disciplinary engineering company with varied client industries and projects based across offices across the country, your open communication is vital.
