We seek an individual who has what it takes to assist in the delivery of Capital Projects.The scope will include working on the delivery of electrical work packages across various Capital Projects as determined by the approved plant Capital Budget. Your responsibilities will include.Input to all phases of a project within the electrical scope of services as required by the Project Manager/EngineerDefine the system's global architecture and prepare project feasibility assessments from an electrical and automation standpointDesign of electrical and automated control systems including Human Machine Interface (HMI) developmentEnsures full compliance of work undertaken according to relevant BlueScope and IEEE StandardsSelects the appropriate technology for projects (PLC, Drive, Instruments, Sensors, Valves, Actuators, MCC, Motors, etc.) and ensures that they are fully compatibleDesign drawings for the construction of the physical components of electrical and automation systems including, but not limited to the following: Single Line Diagrams, Motor Control Schematics/specifications, Control panel layout & designElectrical power distribution systems design and specificationI/O wiringLoop drawingsNetwork system design Prepare technical reports and client correspondences/presentations to project stakeholdersReview and prepare detailed specifications and contract documents for procurement of major electrical and controls equipment as well as construction document packagesActively involved and responsible for installation and commissioning of electrical work packages for specific capital projectsApplications are sought from candidates with the following attributes:Electrical engineering background with an associated degree in engineeringElectrical or Automation engineering background, (preferable with Instrumentation and PLC systems background),Minimum 8 years of relevant industrial experience (with knowledge of and work demonstration of safety systems, safe system of work documentation, contractor supervision, equipment commissioning, project close out, etc)Demonstrated experience in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary teamExperience in reading, designing, or troubleshooting P&ID and electrical diagramsKnowledge of various industrial communication protocolsWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer, with a strong history of successfully delivering projects.You will have demonstrated the ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow through within a challenging environment with multiple and competing demands.Apply:The incumbent will enjoy working in a fast-paced, deliberate, and focused environment where you will be able to bring your experience to a company that values/respects your skills and industry knowledge.
