Other: Concentis has been engaged by one of our Tier-1 Mining Clients to source an Electrical Engineer for a 12-24 Month contract position.
Job Overview Located in the beautiful small town of Worsley, the opportunity welcomes applicants from the local area. This role will support a drive-in, drive-out roster, with the suited candidate living a maximum of one hour away from the site.
In this role, which supports various site-based projects through the full lifecycle of the projects, operations, and maintenance departments, you will ensure that all engineering work performed meets HSEC procedures and statutory regulations and complies with internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities: Provide electrical engineering expertise and consultative support for the Operation. Finalising SLD's, refine switchboard RFQs, developing cable schedules. Develop and maintain asset management plans for critical electrical equipment across the entire operation. Assist with the development of maintenance strategies for new equipment. Ensure compliance with relevant processes and standards, statutory legislation, Fatal Risk Controls, and Industry, Australian or Government Standards. Support site installation and commissioning plans. Qualifications & Experience: You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
Fully accredited Electrical Engineering degree. Minimum 8 years working experience in an Electrical Engineering Role in an operating asset or consultancy. Significant experience in delivering a complete life cycle of design works within a brownfield environment within the resources or other heavy industry. Sound understanding and proven experience in commissioning high-voltage switchboards. Experience working with teams and interacting with stakeholders. Demonstrated knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment within a workplace. Benefits: Flexibility to work from home for two days a week.
