Role Overview Geodrones is actively looking for a passionate Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an early-stage technology company, this is a multidisciplinary position. A successful candidate will be enthusiastic and efficient in both an office and shop floor environment. Working as an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for designing, manufacturing and maintaining a wide range of electrical systems from cutting-edge electric powertrain systems to novel edge-compute devices for the next generation of uncrewed robotic capabilities.
Responsibilities Systems engineering including requirements analysis, concept generation and verification & validation of highly integrated systems Schematic capture, PCB design and production and maintenance of manufacturing details for complex PCBAs Test, debug and optimise new designs with the use of simulation tools, and software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing methodologies Assist with static and flight testing of unmanned aerial systems Requirements Ability to assemble, debug, test and iterate working PCB prototypes Ability to work effectively within a small team Hands on experience with electrical equipment, data acquisition, control and automation systems SMT and through hole hand assembly and rework. Wire harnessing forming and soldering. Experience working within an ESD controlled environment. A self-starter that can problem solve and complete tasks independently. Experience developing with C/C++ software for embedded systems An area of specialization in power electronics, motor control, battery management, or battery development Experience building applications for embedded Linux and/or RTOS environments Experience using Git Version Control system Formula SAE Electric/Solar car and/or Rocketry Team experience AGSVA Security Clearance – Baseline (or ability to achieve) #J-18808-Ljbffr
