Job DescriptionA fantastic opportunity has risen for an Electrical Engineer to join our Energy Solutions team. Based in Wacol, QLD or Altona, Melbourne, you will mentor a team of engineers to design and deliver BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects while working in collaboration with our sales team!
Energy Solutions supplies energy storage, microgrid solutions, generator sets for continuous power, prime power, emergency standby power, and mobile applications, as well as efficiency-optimising solutions that integrate cogeneration systems.
In this role, you'll have a say in the specifications and selection of the best suppliers and subcontractors and contribute to the success and growth of our Off-Highway / Energy Solutions Team. With your knowledge and background, you'll be able to assist in the delivery of renewables projects and build fantastic working relationships across various areas of the business, including sales, projects and other engineering teams!
About you: Appropriate tertiary Electrical Engineering qualificationsRegistered professional engineer with RPEQ or RPEV is desirableStrong interest and knowledge in Power Systems, energy storage systems comprising of inverters, transformers and electrical switchgearHands-on commissioning specialistExperience working with PLC systems and protection relaysFluent with AS3000, AS3008, AS61439, AS4777 and other relevant standardsAbility to select switchgear and electrical components for auxiliary distributionExperience in an electrical switchboard production environmentAbility to produce electrical schematics, single line drawings, preferably auto-cad electricalProficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD software and business operating systemsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsWhy join Penske?
