About the role Proxima Infrastructure is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Designer for Solar and BESS to join our team in Notting Hill, Victoria on a contract or casual basis. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in designing and developing electrical systems for our solar and battery energy storage projects, contributing to the company's sustainable energy initiatives.
What you'll be doing Designing electrical systems and components for solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects Create bill of materials required for Solar PV and Battery Storage systems to comply with relevant industry and WHS standards, and meet deadlines required for project plans Preparing detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications Collaborating with project teams to ensure electrical designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance requirements Providing technical support and guidance during the installation and commissioning phases Identifying and resolving electrical design-related issues in a timely manner Staying up-to-date with the latest electrical design trends, technologies, and industry standards Assist the Project Delivery Team to resolve technical issues encountered during installation and adjust designs and drawings, communicating with PMs, installers and clients as required What we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the renewable energy or energy storage sectors CEC accreditation design for PV and standalone (Desirable) Proficient in the use of design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders What we offer Competitive remuneration package Opportunities for professional development and career advancement Flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance Supportive and collaborative work culture Our client Our clients are renewable energy multi-disciplinary Engineering, Procurement and Construction company that services the commercial, industrial, rural, utilities, mining and residential energy sectors.
