This is a unique opportunity that offers a combined study and work program where you can complete your Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) through the Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania, and gain work experience to complete your prescribed sea time. All study, on-campus accommodation, meal, and travel arrangements are paid for by CSL Australia. This offer is a max-term employment covering the duration of your study program and sea time hours. Cadets will be required to spend extended periods at a time onboard a vessel around their university timetable. Approximately 26 weeks of sea time and passing the oral assessment is required to graduate from your CSL Cadetship. Criteria for Application: You must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) at the Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania. Must provide proof that you are enrolled in the ETO specific unit: Marine High Voltage Shipboard Electronics Shipboard Operational Experience (ETO) Aspirations to be an Electro-Technical Officer. Provide Year 12 or University academic results/transcript. Have already completed your Pre-Sea training. Eligibility to obtain a Maritime Safety Identification Card. A passion for working at sea, and ability to work at sea for extended periods (6-12 weeks). Strong communication skills - understanding and following instructions.
