The Warbangali Allied Health Program, operating on Darkinjung Country (Central Coast, NSW), is a community-driven initiative under Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Services. Specialising in culturally safe, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care, the program provides comprehensive support through occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, social work, and behaviour support. Warbangali is dedicated to empowering individuals across all life stages, from paediatrics to elders, with services ranging from therapy and family support to advocacy and educational resources.
As a collaborative team of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff, Warbangali supervises allied health assistants to deliver targeted interventions, building capacity within the community. About The Role: Employment Type: Full-time or part-time
Role Focus: Primarily NDIS clients with allocation allotment to explore specialised areas of interest, and service needs including (but not limited to):
Alcohol and other drugs Aged care Chronic disease management Primary Duties: The duties you will be involved with are as follows:
Therapy assessment, consultation and treatment to community members Consult and provide therapy education to families, stakeholders, and/or carers Conduct post-assessment caregiver meetings and carer consultations Complete, review and maintain therapy treatment plans Complete, score, review and maintain therapy goals Complete ongoing progress reports including NDIS within the required time frame. What we are offering: We offer an attractive employment package designed to support professional growth, work-life balance, and cultural engagement. Negotiable wage, pending experience and training, from $75,000 to $95,000 + super + CPD package:
Annual CPD package valued at $10,000. Monthly clinical supervision during work hours. Recurring industry-required training (e.g., First Aid, NDIS Worker Check). Workshops, webinars, and other training opportunities. Individual cultural supervision (bi-monthly). Allied Health group supervision held quarterly. Salary Packaging: Maximise take-home pay with a $15,900 salary-sacrificing option. Staff Development and Team Bonding: Two-day staff development camp with cultural immersion activities; Two team bonding days held biannually. Additional Time Off: Three additional leave days over the Christmas period. Additionally, as an employee of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO), there is eligibility to apply for a scholarship of up to $10,000 per year, provided for up to two years study (whichever runs out first), to attain a postgraduate qualification of either a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, Masters or PhD. This is not included in the overall employment package, but an opportunity stemming from employment.
