The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare.
As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability.
For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need.

The Policy, Evidence and Practice Leadership Division is delivering important reforms to improve the NDIS for people with disability.
We are seeking experienced professionals from a range of backgrounds who are able to provide thought leadership, content expertise, and rigorous policy analysis in the management of key strategic issues to improve the effectiveness of the NDIS.
The Division is responsible for delivering key Scheme reform initiatives such as the Assessment and Budgeting Initiative, the Participant Safeguarding Initiative, and the Psychosocial Disability Initiative.
Where you can add value As a Director in the Policy, Evidence and Practice Leadership Division, you will lead a multi-disciplinary and agile team to develop policy and deliver complex projects that have strategic and operational significance to the NDIA.
You will work closely with teams in the division, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Leading the management, preparation, and coordination of complex Scheme policy development.Providing advice on strategic reforms and proposing improvements to existing policies.Leading the engagement and co-design activities with a range of key stakeholders, including the disability community, to ensure that policy development is contemporary, relevant, and evidence-informed.Enough about us, let's talk about you We are looking for candidates from a range of professional backgrounds with a demonstrated ability to drive strategic change in complex operating environments.

VIC, Surry HillsNSW, DeakinACT, BrisbaneQLD or PerthWA, remote working arrangements may be considered.We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity; however, non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check, and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
