The Role
The Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) Branch is seeking a professional, motivated and experienced EL2.1 Executive Director (ED) Products to provide leadership and direction to ensure a high-level of integration and consistency in the management of products and projects within Defence Capability Programs across multiple directorates.

ED Products is accountable for the development, implementation and monitoring of multiple-program strategies, plans and risks, enabling delivery and reporting on the requirements and expectations of the management of Defence assets.

ED Products will lead an integrated workforce with multiple teams, and provide clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people. ED Products will be accountable for planning and managing allocated resources, setting branch-wide program priorities, workflows, work area strategies and evaluating business outcomes.

MIWS Branch under Major Surface Combatants and Combat Systems Division is an exciting and complex environment to work in, offering a rewarding career in one of the most dynamic organisations within NSSG. We work across both Acquisition and Sustainment environments to develop and deliver products into new shipbuilding programs and to provide updated and upgraded products to the existing RAN fleet, giving staff exposure to a wide variety of high profile maritime projects.

The Executive Director Products manages a number of Product Teams responsible for the delivery of product stream outputs encompassing Weapons, Accelerated Strike, Phased Array Radar (PAR), Above Water Sensors (AWS), Navigation, Under Sea Warfare (USW), Communications, Electronic Warfare (EW) and Enterprise Training, in the provision of various warfighting systems. Collectively, the Directorate and its neighbouring combat systems enterprise organisations enable integrated warfighting capability for Navy.
