- $113,821 - $128,264 + Super ( per annum)
Talent management - recruitment, labour hire procurement, on boarding, contract management and off boarding of department's resources.
Financial management - end of month accounting, financial analysis and reporting, budget development and management, contract cost evaluation and negotiations, and cost modelling.
Program support - information architecture development and maintenance, labour hire invoice processing and reporting, property planning and management, Indigo vendor on boarding and off-boarding, and travel booking.

Purpose of the role The Program Support Section is looking to fill the following critical vacancy by engaging a capable, committed and experienced professional seeking rewarding growth and leadership opportunities:
Assistant Director, Talent
The Assistant Director, Talent works alongside the Strategic Talent Advisor and the Program Support Director to lead and manage the Talent Team and provide exceptional talent management services. This includes overseeing and managing the operational functions of the team and contributing to the development of strategies to attract, develop and retain appropriately skilled and experienced resources to support the successful delivery of the department's strategic objectives.
Key position responsibilities Overseeing and managing the operational functions and resource allocation of the Talent Team, ensuring all recruitment, procurement, on boarding, contract management and off boarding activities are delivered to a high professional standard.
Preparing and quality assuring high quality written correspondence, briefings, reporting and communication material for a variety of different audience on behalf of the Director and the Team.
Analysing and synthesising information from a range of internal and external sources to provide timely strategic advice to the Director and the Senior Executive.
Developing and actively managing internal and external relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation, representing the Team in various forums.
Contributing to the development of strategies and plans to attract, develop and retain appropriately skilled and experienced resources to support the successful delivery of department's strategic objectives.
Making and communicating decisions using professional judgement in a fast paced, complex and changing environment.

Character clearance, including a police check.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Mandatory
Demonstrated experience in effectively managing high volumes of work and competing priorities, with the ability to manage an operational team as well as manage upwards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively synthesise information and communicate to people from different backgrounds and levels of seniority.
Demonstrated experience in preparing complex and/or sensitive correspondence, briefings, papers, report and other written artefacts, with strong attention to detail.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strategic relationships and communicate decisions using professional judgement.
High degree of initiative, integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and a strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the department's strategic direction.
Highly desirable:
Demonstrated experience in APS and labour hire recruitment and procurement in the Federal Government context.
