About the Department: An innovative Federal Government Agency is seeking an EL1 Procurement Advisor to support in an advisory capacity for new department procurement projects. About the role: As the EL1 Procurement Advisor, you will be required to provide procurement advisory support for the greater department via providing review of procurement matters, ensuring adherence to Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant policy and guidelines. Working within a highly skilled team, you will be required to work collaboratively to support the progression of the project. Previous strong APS Procurement experience is a requirement for this role. Essential requirements: As the EL1 Procurement Advisor, you will have the ability to provide the below: Provide procurement guidance and advice to line areas on complex procurement, contract management and probity matters in accordance with Government legislation and policy. Track, prioritise and allocate procurement reviews within the Corporate Procurement Team to ensure critical deadlines are being met. Triage contract management and procurement matters that require escalation for legal advice, and/or opinion. Manage the development and continuous improvement of procurement policies and processes in consultation with key stakeholders. Develop and maintain key relationships with internal teams, business stakeholders and external entities to continue to shape the overall delivery of services. Manage mandatory reporting obligations including Senate Order, Indigenous Procurement, AusTender, and annual report. Assist the Director, Procurement as required.
