The team delivers critical support services to ensure the Division is effectively managing the procurement of ICT goods and services, monitoring contract renewals in collaboration with contract managers and monitoring vendor performance under relevant ICT sourcing contracts.The ICT Sourcing Senior Specialist role works in partnership with the agency Procurement team to deliver ICT procurements from the transactional to strategic level.
This role leads a small team and provides specialist advice to support Senior ICT Engineers in managing their ICT contracts by tracking renewals, licence consumption, facilitating new procurements and contracts in conjunction with the agency's procurement team.Key responsibilities:Acting as a central escalation point for the administration of simple and complex ICT contracts or procurements.Liaising with internal stakeholders to coordinate and manage successful services and contract management.Provide specialist assistance to key contract variation activities, and manages Official Orders/Variations for the Intelligence and Information Systems Division (IIS).Ensure all procurement activities and advice adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and ethical standards.Identify risks associated with procurement activities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.Provide budgetary support, including preparing and tracking financial year budgets for the CIO Branch and Intelligence and Information Systems Division.Our ideal candidateTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:Develops positive relationships that enhance the CIO Branch, IIS Division and ACIC's reputation.Manages a team effectively including, mentoring and driving a culture of achievement and success.Acknowledges the work of others and creates opportunities for others to use their strengths.Applies expertise and leadership to the development and promotion of new standards, tools or products.Operates strategically and builds work area capability based on a long-term view.Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, and negotiates persuasively.Has demonstrated experience in a procurement, vendor performance or contract management environment and working knowledge of procurement and contact management processes, techniques and best practices.Desirable qualificationsCert IV in Procurement and Contracting or willingness to obtain the qualification.EligibilityCitizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity.
