In these roles, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, enhancement and governance of our applications platforms.
These include enterprise applications (e.g.
ServiceNow, Oracle Peoplesoft, Pega), non-enterprise/business specific applications and mobile applications.
We have three core priorities: building best-in-class people to support Defence Digital Group's (DDG) efforts, underpinned by best-in-class global platforms, supported by best-in-class sovereign capabilities.
Our goal is to provide our warfighters the appropriate technologies needed to fight and win in the digital age.
These roles will be part of larger project teams to develop solutions and deliver capability.
These are new roles in a growing Branch, and you will be instrumental in helping to build both human and technical capabilities to achieve the Defence mission.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).
This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.

About our Team You will be part of a team of ICT professionals delivering complex projects across key Digital domains in both the Military and Enterprise Systems Divisions within Defence Digital Group (DDG).
These roles will provide technical expertise, mentorship and coaching in a matrixed construct, as teams and individuals are embedded into projects as needed.
As a Digital Engineer in DDG you may either: Lead a team of ICT professionals experienced in key technology platforms/products, or Work individually on projects as the technical engineering SME.

Our Ideal Candidate You will have one or more of the following: Experience in business application development, system integration, scripting and application life cycle management; Experience with the design, development and configuration of the ServiceNow platform, including workflows and modules (e.g.
ITSM, ITOM, SPM, IRM, PSDM); Ability to design and develop business applications to meet organisational requirements; Experience with the design and development of mobile applications that integrate with enterprise systems, providing users with an intuitive and efficient interface to access core services; Experience in configuring and enhancing existing enterprise applications to improve functionality and performance, and to maintain simplicity of design through configuration while minimising customisation; Experience in the deployment of new application features and functionality to ensure these meet performance and security standards; Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes.
