EL 1 - Deputy Director Joint Cyber and Influence Projects$115,899 - $130,733 + 10% BDCP+ up to 15.4% SuperannuationRussell - ACTThe RoleYou will be accountable to perform and achieve complex, to very complex, project management work within an integrated workforce. You will be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships. You will have a deep understanding of Project Management and be responsible for the development, implementation, compliance, and review of Directorate and Branch policies and procedures. You will engage in problem solving and issues management for sensitive projects affecting strategic or operational outcomes.The successful applicant's duties include:Supporting Director JCIP in achieving strategic outcomes through capability realisation.Coordinating activities: supporting strategic planning, governance functions, HR management.Leading and communicating to project teams: clear performance and behavioural standards, performance expectations, delegated responsibility, and operational priorities.Identifying risks and opportunities, incorporating these in decision-making and prioritisation.Managing project schedules, risk, budget, and resources.Preparing correspondence, briefs, and reports for higher delegate and committee consideration.Analysing and interpreting project performance against agreed plans.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. JCG was formed in July 2017 with the mandate to deliver joint warfighting capabilities to the ADF.JICB is a blended workforce of APS, ADF, and Contracted personnel who work together with a One Defence mindset to support Defence outcomes with offices located within the Canberra region.JICB develops and manages a number of capabilities including:Joint Cyber & Influence Projects (JCIP);Joint Simulation Capabilities (JSC);Assured Position Navigation Timing (PNT);Joint Electronic Warfare (EW);Project Management Office (PMO).JCIP Directorate manages key projects within JICB, delivering a number of outcomes that support Defence Cyber Domain objectives.Our Ideal CandidateOur Ideal Candidate is someone who can hit the ground running and is experienced in Project Management within Government and Defence. Experience in the Cyber Domain or with cyber capability is highly desirable.
