About the company:Our Federal Government Client is seeking multiple skilled Business Analysts. The Business Analyst role is pivotal, responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and negotiating on behalf of the Agency to advance interests across various forums.About the role:Identifying and documenting current business processes to create a baseline understanding of the current situation and processes.Creating and facilitating process design improvements by conducting business and systems process analysis.Providing program/stream level analysis and producing required analysis documentation.Providing expertise and supporting the Product Owner to elaborate user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps with input from SMEs.Assisting the Product Owner with the use of internal systems.Evaluating the effectiveness of proposed solutions and designs.Leading the transition of business requirements over to build teams for development.Supporting verification testing of the built solution to ensure alignment with business requirements.Key skills required for roles:Business process analysis: Proficiency in analyzing and documenting current state versus future state process maps.Requirement gathering: Ability to elicit, document, and manage business requirements into Epics and User Stories.Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.Testing: Ability to undertake systems testing against defined acceptance criteria during the build and testing cycles of development.Stakeholder engagement: Facilitating workshops with stakeholders, Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, and technology teams.Risk assessment: Identifying potential issues or risks, tracking problems, recommending alternatives, and escalating issues as appropriate.System thinking: Developing and maintaining subject matter expertise across new systems and processes within the NDIA.Desirable skills to have for the roles:Data analysis: Skill in analyzing data to identify trends and insights.Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile methodologies like Agile or Kanban.Business Analysis Tools: Knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence for documentation and workflow management.Process Improvement: Experience in recommending and implementing process improvements.Cross-functional collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with team members from various disciplines.Benefits:ASAP start pending Federal Police Clearance.12 month temporary assignment.Full-time hours Monday to Friday.Locations considered - Surry Hills, Newcastle, Melbourne, Geelong, and Brisbane.EL1- $602.55 per day + super.*** Please note the successful candidate for the role must hold Australian Citizenship ***Role closes for applications on 18/9/24If you are keen to be considered for this role, please click 'APPLY' now.
