This is a key leadership role, providing the opportunity to influence workplace culture and drive improvements in employee engagement and relations.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage workplace relations strategies, including enterprise bargaining, employee disputes, and industrial relations matters.Provide expert advice on complex workplace relations issues, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and agreements.Partner with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, to proactively identify and manage workplace relations risks.Lead enterprise agreement negotiations, including preparing bargaining strategies, consulting with stakeholders, and ensuring outcomes align with organisational goals.Key Capabilities:Extensive experience in workplace relations, industrial relations, or a similar role within the public or private sector.Proven experience in managing enterprise bargaining processes and handling complex employment disputes.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.In-depth knowledge of employment law, workplace legislation, and APS frameworks.Qualifications and Experience:Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field are highly desirable.A minimum of 5 years' experience in workplace or industrial relations, preferably within the APS.Demonstrated experience in enterprise bargaining and managing workplace disputes.What you'll need to succeedTo be eligible for this position you will need to be an Australian Citizen, hold a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) or be willing to obtain oneCandidates who are permanently employed in the APS are encouraged to apply as a section 26, labour hire, or NGO.
