Merit list/pools and how they will be usedApplicants suitable for the role but not offered the position for the current vacancy may be placed in a merit list or pool. Are you looking for a dynamic and rewarding career? The NDIA is now seeking strategic communications professionals for various positions across the Marketing Communications and Internal Communications Branches.
The Internal Communications Branch offers strategic communications guidance to assist the NDIA in executing the NDIS. It is tasked with creating and implementing multi-channel communication and engagement strategies to support significant initiatives across the NDIA, as well as customizing messages for the appropriate audience.
The Marketing Communications Branch works to improve the NDIA's reputation among key stakeholders, particularly participants. This branch provides strategic and effective marketing, communication, and digital solutions, backed by market research and insights.

The EL1 Assistant Director Communications roles deal with complex, difficult, or sensitive issues. They require sound ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role and negotiate on behalf of the branch/division/NDIA.
Identifying opportunities to lead and drive the delivery of communication strategies, plans, and collateral across various subjects and channels to meet audience needs.Helping our audiences understand the changes that are being made to the NDIS and how they impact them, taking a continuous improvement approach to our communications.Using data and insights, drive the delivery of integrated marketing and change communications campaigns.Working with members across the Strategic Communications Division, identify and collaborate on joint change, communication, marketing, advocacy, and reputation growth objectives.Utilising high-level stakeholder management skills, advise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to inform the development of timely, relevant, accessible, and plain English communications.Providing effective leadership for direct reports, including providing employees with coaching, information, and guidance for achieving outcomes and ensuring compliance.Defining staff roles, performance expectations, and conducting performance appraisals as required.(NOTE: the key responsibilities of the role are based on current priorities and may change over time)
