The Domestic Violence Service provides support to people who are at risk of, or are experiencing, domestic violence. Working independently and as part of a team, you will engage, liaise, and provide education and information to clients, the local community, and other local services.
Desired Skills and Experience
You will:
Have good communication skills.
Be able to deliver group work to a diverse range of people.
Have a good understanding of key barriers facing people with complex needs.
It is essential for you to have:
Current Australian Drivers Licence.
Certificate IV (or above) in a Human Services related field e.g. Community Services, Case Management, Disability, Mental Health, Youth Work, etc.
Relevant experience in Homelessness, Domestic/Family Violence or similar positions, in a paid or voluntary capacity.
A tertiary qualification in a Human Services related discipline (e.g. Social Work) will be highly regarded. You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.
