Education Team Leader at Sydney ZooLocated in the heart of Western Sydney, Sydney Zoo strives to showcase a broad range of native and exotic animals using technology and advanced exhibit design, with a strong focus on animal welfare, conservation, and educating our visitors about animals and their habitats.
Environmental and social awareness play a vital role in our message that highlights the indigenous culture and human influence on the environment.The PositionThis is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an exciting team at Sydney Zoo in the role of Education Team Leader, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about.
This role will commence as soon as possible.The Education Team Leader is responsible for implementation and presentation of lively and engaging education programs to Sydney Zoo audiences of all ages, including school groups and the general public.
They will also assist the Education Manager in strategy, team management including rosters and timetables, project manage smaller education programs and assist in developing new programs.The Sydney Zoo Education Program encompasses the delivery of Zoo animal-based and sustainability-focused programs.
The position will be required to work outdoors in a variety of settings to engage with the general public as well as deliver specific content for groups and school bookings.We are seeking a highly engaging, passionate and energetic educator with experience delivering curriculum-based programs to school-aged students.
