Role to commence January 2025. St Francis De Sales Regional College St Francis De Sales Regional College is a Catholic Co-educational Day and Weekly Boarding School providing a comprehensive education across Years 7-12, for students from Leeton, Narrandera and surrounding rural areas in the Riverina. We focus on students as individuals and aim to develop their own personal skills by providing a broad curriculum, enriched with many extra-curricular and sporting activities. Your New Role To enable students with additional needs to be included in the classroom and to experience success in their school environment. All staff support the Catholic ethos of the school in their relationships with staff, students and parents and in the manner in which they undertake their roles. The IDL Leader must exercise professional leadership, to support the classroom teacher efficiently and effectively. Selection Criteria An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education Demonstrated expertise as a classroom practitioner Demonstrated capacity to align practice with a whole-school pastoral care model of student support. An appropriate mix of pedagogical, content and technological knowledge. An informed understanding of inclusive, learner centred pedagogy. An ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture Appropriate qualifications and experience in the position advertised Sound pedagogical, content and technological knowledge An informed understanding of the impact of teaching strategies on student learning. An informed understanding of the role of formative and summative assessment in providing feedback that advances student learning. Knowledge of relevant NESA curriculum documentation, practices and procedures.
