Location ProfileManor Lakes P-12 College opened in 2009 and is located in Minindee Rd, Wyndham Vale. The college currently has an enrolment of 3000 students. The enrolment is expected to stabilise and possibly decline in the primary years and to continue to increase at secondary level. The backgrounds of our students reflect a cultural and socio-economic diversity. The college has a Student Family Occupation (SFO) of 0.552 which indicates that there is a level of disadvantage within our community. Approximately 16% of our student population come from a language background other than English.

Selection CriteriaApplicants are encouraged to address Selection Criteria from an Allied Health Assistant perspective: SC1: Demonstrated experience and skills in delivering Allied Health supports to students (both one-to-one and in small groups) as advised by therapists.SC2: Demonstrated capacity to undertake administrative work associated with the role including note taking, scheduling, liaising with external professionals etc.SC3: Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills.SC4: Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to other classroom support staff.SC5: Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.RoleAttendance may be required for up to 6 days during school holiday periods. A leave purchase of 72.47% of the hourly rate will be paid for any additional attendance undertaken during the school holiday periods.
Range 3 is distinguished by the introduction of management responsibility and accountability for the delivery of professional support services. The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. It seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, operations or educational programs.
ResponsibilitiesPlans and facilitates 1:1 AH and small group sessions in consultation with/advised by therapists. Activities focus on the goals and interventions identified by the therapist.Provides classroom support through observations, modelling and education to class teachers and education support staff.Resourcing and equipment distribution.Liaise with external providers of support services.Maintains up to date documentation of sessions and student communications.Adheres to confidentiality guidelines.Attends Allied Health team meetings, SSGs, student wrap arounds.Maintains responsibility for personal and professional development by participating in supervision, training/education activities and performance reviews/appraisals in order to continuously improve the level of service provided to students.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
