13-09-2024 About the Role St Michael's Primary School is situated in Traralgon, located 2 hours from Melbourne's CBD on the M1 and 2 hours to the Gippsland lakes region along the south coast of Victoria. Our school is committed to valuing young people and their development as persons with a lifelong love of learning. We are currently seeking to fill the following positions: 1 x fixed term position:
term 1 2025, 0.29 FTE (2 days a week) 1 x ongoing position:
0.71 FTE (5 days a week) 1 x ongoing position:
0.43 FTE (3 days a week) 1 x ongoing position:
0.29 FTE (2 days a week)
There is flexibility to combine the ongoing 3 day and 2 day position to a 5 day position if required. All positions commence Term 1 2025. Duties and Responsibilities Duties will include but are not limited to: Work with individual students or groups of students as directed by the teacher in keeping with the students' Personalised Learning Plans. Work with teachers to meet the learning needs of students. Keep appropriate records of student programs implemented. Observe individual student progress, note achievements/challenges and share findings with the class teacher. Attend official Program Support Group meetings with the classroom teacher to discuss the student's progress. Attend speech therapy sessions with students as required.
Essential Knowledge and Experience Relevant experience, knowledge or training or a willingness to undertake the required training. Sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children. Current Employee Working with Children Check and National Police Check. A commitment to the Catholic ethos. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A commitment to excellence in learning and teaching with the ability to use contemporary technology to enrich learning experiences. A passion for engaging and challenging students and catering for individual learning styles.
