They coordinate the compilation and updating of resources and materials and ensure reporting and compliance requirements are met.
DECISION MAKING AND DELEGATIONS OF AUTHORITY
The Education Support Assistant works under general supervision, performing tasks as directed and in accordance with defined responsibilities. They make choices between established methods of work and plan and prioritise their work to ensure deadlines are met. They will resolve routine matters related to responsibilities and help resolve more complex matters.
Key responsibilities will be to :
provide comprehensive administrative support to academic and teaching staff, including policy interpretation and assistance with procedural matters
coordinate program evaluation processes and facilitate improvements for research-based programs, implementing changes recommended by academic staff
maintain databases and contact lists to enhance learning and teaching activities
coordinate the compilation and publication of academic content for both print and online platforms
assist in the development of materials for programs of study, ensuring copyright compliance
coordinate educational reporting, compliance, and publication production, ensuring accurate information on university systems and adherence to work area requirements
undertake other duties and contribute to projects appropriate within the classification level as required
About you experience working in a tertiary environment with working knowledge of using Learning Management Systems
prior experience with administrative experience
ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work
excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
the ability to strive to develop and improve their own proficiency in using technology, and in recommending educational approaches, and so creating a positive impact for the faculty and University
the ability to understand stakeholders needs and expectations, and deliver an excellent service experience for Faculty staff, students, and the community
