The College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) is responsible for intensive care medicine specialist training and education in Australia & New Zealand. With over 1400 members, and a similar number in training, we strive to support the capability of our membership to deliver critical care to their patients.
Our SIMG & Trainee Registration Officer role will see you administer and co-ordinate for Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand the:
Assessment of Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs)Short-term training participationTrainee selection and registrationRecognition of prior learning (RPL) andProvide committee support to the SIMG Committee and Training Selection Panel.Day to day this will involve:
providing information on application requirementsreceiving all applicants' documentation and preparing this documentation for assessmentOrganising committee members / Fellows to complete any assessments, Advising trainees of outcomes of their applicationsCompleting all processes related to the above areasCommunicating to trainees regarding applications and their outcomes, Accurately maintaining applicant and trainee information in databases Reporting on applicants and traineesUpdating communications on our website.Reporting and supporting SIMG's with information during their training.Providing committee administration support, including agendas and minutes.You will be an experienced administrator who can demonstrate professional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, have sound written communication skills with experience in composing detailed correspondence, agendas and minutes and above all be customer focused and have the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders. MS Office skills and database data maintenance skills are essential.
You will have proven administration and co-ordination skills, enabling you to be very capable of planning and organising your work and prioritising and maintaining a high level of quality in your output. You will be comfortable working in a team and capable of working autonomously, always with an eye for ensuring proficient service to your customers. Intermediate level skills with MS Office and online data maintenance skills are essential.
