About the Role: This role requires the RPN G2 nurse to contribute to excellence in patient care and recovery, providing a positive consumer experience. The position will work closely with the ECT Coordinator to achieve positive outcomes for individuals receiving ECT Treatment while embodying the Northern Health Values.
This role is responsible for providing care to patients receiving ECT, including preparation and discharge of outpatients. You will liaise with Broadmeadows Older Adult and Adult Inpatient staff to facilitate inpatient ECT, and assist the ECT Coordinator in the day-to-day operation of ECT at Broadmeadows ECT Suite, including duties in the recovery room and waiting areas.
This position is 0.6 EFT (48 hours per fortnight) Monday, Wednesday, Friday. You will maintain accurate documentation (EMR, CPF, paper forms) and records of interventions and progress of patients in the ECT Suite. Assist with audits and compliance surveys, monitoring and evaluating standards, prescriptions, practices, and procedures related to ECT services in collaboration with NWAMHS ECT and NWMH to improve patient outcomes.
Contribute to a positive relationship in the ECT suite between the multidisciplinary team.
To be successful in this role you will have: Registration as a registered nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
