Job Description Location: North West Region | Echuca Job type: Casual Organisation: Echuca Regional Health Salary: Salary not specified Occupation: Administration/Secretarial, Health and Allied Health, Medical and Nursing, Medical, Nursing, Aged Care Reference: 11041 Title: Registered Nurse- Breast Cancer Nurse Department: Cancer and Wellness Centre Classification: Nurses & Midwives EA, dependent on skills and experience Hours per fortnight: Casual Status: Potential for fixed Term Long Service Leave replacement - Potential for further fixed term leave Applications are sought from suitably qualified Registered Nurses with previous cancer nursing experience to work in the Cancer and Wellness Centre at Echuca Regional Health.
The Cancer Services team are looking for a dynamic and team oriented person with the right skills for this rewarding and challenging role.
The right applicant will be well supported by this high performing team to successfully work in the Cancer and Wellness Centre and with the current Mc Grath Breast Cancer Nurse.
Key responsibilities include: Providing evidence based care to people with a cancer diagnosis Patient centered cancer care coordination across a variety of settings and services Providing supportive care to patients and their families Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Work with others to improve consumer and community engagement around the issues relating to prostate cancer Our team requires someone who has: Qualifications in Oncology Nursing, Breast Cancer Nursing is desirable Proven experience in care coordination High-level awareness of best practice in contemporary cancer nursing, current evidence based breast cancer nursing and supportive care Demonstrated knowledge of pathways, resources and frameworks specific to Breast Cancer Strong clinical skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to monitor own practice to provide quality care This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment.
