Applications are sought from suitably qualified Registered Nurses to expand their career as the Pre-Operative Patient Services Manager at Echuca Regional Health. This position is newly created to provide leadership to the pre-op patient services team and to support the provision of high-quality, reliable and safe patient-centered care.
Key responsibilities include: Responsible for day-to-day management of the pre-op patient services team including policy development, recruitment, performance reviews and training of staff. Provide operational leadership of the pre-op patient services team to achieve a high-quality service which integrates with related teams and services, both internal & external. Oversight of all elements of planned surgery preparation including patient communication, pre-operative assessment and planning to ensure the optimal day of surgery presentations. Effectively liaise with visiting medical staff (VMOs), Nurse Unit Manager, Equipment Nurse and CSSD Manager regarding the compilation of theatre lists to maximise efficiency. Maintain core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice. Qualifications/experience required: Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse. Demonstrated leadership experience and capability to build an efficient, effective and cohesive team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster an effective and positive team culture.
