Dental Assistant – Maternity Leave Position We are seeking a suitably skilled Dental Assistant in East Grampians Health Service Dental department. This is a part-time maternity leave position from January 2025 to January 2026.

About the Role The role of a Dental Assistant is an integral part of service delivery in our Dental department. This role works as part of a team to assist Dentists and Oral Health Therapists to provide quality direct patient care. The role includes chairside assistance and administrative support in the dental department. This important role contributes to effective patient flow.
Duties for this position will include:
Assisting chairside for Dental Operators, Oral Health Therapists, and students Preparing equipment, dental materials, and instruments Contributing to patient flow by monitoring scheduling, work practices, and time management Undertaking administrative tasks including scheduling and voucher processing About You The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Positive attitude toward community dental services and willingness to learn Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills Caring disposition and commitment to providing high-quality, customer-focused care Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks).
