We have a great opportunity for a motivated and passionate ecologist to join our team.
This role will suit a graduate or junior ecologist that is looking to gain entry into ecological consulting.
The role will be based in central west NSW and suit a candidate residing in or around Orange, Dubbo or Mudgee.
To be successful in this role you must have a self-driven interest in ecology and passion to grow your ecological knowledge.
You must be able to work in the field independently and be comfortable liaising with clients face-to-face.
You must have your own car and the ability to work from home.

East Coast Ecology offers a range of incentives for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: Conducting ecological assessment prior to the removal of vegetation and fauna habitat, including: Identifying and demarcating threatened plants and habitat for threatened fauna.
Identifying priority weeds.
Targeted threatened flora and fauna surveys.
Use of a GPS-enabled tablet.
Preparing pre-clearing and post-clearing reports.
You will also be required to be present during vegetation/ habitat clearing to catch and relocate any fauna displaced by the clearing activities.
Required Skills: Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of NSW flora and fauna.
Report writing- capable of producing accurate and professional reports.
Drivers' licence (with no conditions).
GIS experience (preferred, not essential).
Required Qualifications Tertiary degree in Environmental Science (or a related discipline).
Construction White Card.
First Aid Certificate.
This is primarily a field-based role so you must be comfortable working long hours in the field, including trips away either solo or with a colleague, for up to five days.
Ideal candidates will have experience driving a 4 WD off road and willingness to be put through additional training courses.
