As a non-profit, community-based organisation, we offer high-quality, flexible children's services to the families of Ballina and surrounding areas at an affordable cost.

Our play-based, child-led learning program is inspired by children's voices and ideas, designed to encourage exploration and discovery. We provide quality education and care for children from birth to 6 years in our centre-based care service, and for school-age children, we also manage four Out of School Hours Care services.

Nestled in the picturesque Northern Rivers region of East Ballina, Ballina, you will join a centre that is located in close proximity to beaches in a stunningly serene location. Our playground overlooks a lush reserve, surrounded by towering Eucalypt, Tuckeroo, and Cadagi trees that create a natural wonderland sure to capture the imaginations of our young learners!

For more information, please visit our website: https://rainbow.nsw.edu.au/ The Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team in a full-time role of 40 hours per week. However, we understand the value of flexibility and are open to accommodating a four-day working week for the right person.

You will shape the lives of young children and create an environment where they can thrive. Your role is essential in providing the best possible education and care within a play-based program while also meeting the needs of parents and the community.

You will be a primary influencer of daily care and education, providing invaluable collaboration and shared leadership with your colleagues. Your commitment to fostering relationships with families and colleagues is crucial to the centre's overall success.

As you recognise the unique educational needs of each child, you will tailor the centre's program to meet their choices and interests. Your creativity, adaptability, and responsiveness will ensure each child's needs are met, and their potential is reached.

Responsibilities include: Lead and collaborate with the team in implementing an educational program tailored to each child. Collaborate and develop appropriate early childhood programs based on child development, pedagogical practice, and the National Quality Framework. Model and support appropriate early childhood practices while addressing parents' needs daily Develop and model inclusive behaviour support strategies to facilitate positive and age-appropriate communication and behaviours. Establish and maintain health and safety standards for all individuals at the centre whilst supporting the management of your homeroom within centre policies and procedures. What you will bring: With a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, you will have the knowledge and skills to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

Remuneration benefits provided by Rainbow Children's Centre: Enjoy an above-award hourly rate of $40 - $52 per hour (approximately $83,000 - $108,000 annually), commensurate with experience PLUS super!
