PCCC & ELC is a small centre with a maximum of 52 children from birth to school age and operates from 7.30am to 6pm. We are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team for a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase hours as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, plan, and implement a quality program that reflects the Early Years Learning FrameworkMonitor and document children's progress & individual children's portfoliosMentoring Educators within the CentreDevelop open communication channels with staff, children, and families of the CentreAbility to work with other team members in the inclusion, support, and care of all children.Appropriate skills, knowledge and training in food safety and hygieneExperience interacting with groups of children up to 6 years of ageEffective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsContribute to the effective operation of the workplace by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas and information, and working collaboratively in our team.Comply with the Centres' policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation & regulations.Participate and attend out of hours meeting and trainingSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ACECQA approved Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood EducationDesire to continue further professional developmentCurrent DCSI clearanceCurrent First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificateCurrent Responding to Abuse and Neglect –Education and Care certificateComprehensive understanding of Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and National RegulationsAbility to follow and implement Centres Policies and Procedures
