About the Service:
Warilla Education and Care Service is a 28 place service managed by ECTARC on behalf of the Illawarra Women's Health Service. Our service is located in the heart of Warilla, nestled amongst local community services. We offer both occasional and emergency care (charged at an hourly rate), and permanent regular positions for children aged between birth – 5 years of age.
Our educators build secure attachments with the children & families enrolled in the service that support children to feel safe, secure and valued. The service is inclusive to all children and families and is sensitive to & respectful of promoting a greater understanding of Australia's Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander cultures. Educators value play in encouraging children's learning, thinking, imagination, & communication; & understand how important play is for children to develop trust & form friendships with peers.
Warilla Education and Care Service implements the Positive Partnerships project, a funded program through Communities for Children Shellharbour. Through the program, the service employs a Child and Family Practitioner, whose role is to provide support for families and their parenting. The service also works closely with a multidisciplinary team (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist) from Noah's Inclusion Service who visit weekly. They support the developmental needs of children by working alongside educators, building their capacity to ensure children's everyday learning environments are optimal.
