Selection CriteriaSC1 Demonstrated high level ability to plan, implement and evaluate an innovative and stimulating English as an Additional Language program.
SC2 Demonstrated high level classroom teaching skills in English as an Additional Language, with the ability to design curriculum emphasizing communication and work in a multi-disciplinary team.
SC3 Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning data to inform the development of personalized learning plans in English as an Additional Language.
SC4 Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop constructive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
SC5 Commitment to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and ongoing professional learning.
SC6 Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate an innovative teaching and learning program for EAL learners.
RoleThe classroom teacher is focused on planning, preparation, and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes. Responsibilities may include:
Direct teaching of groups and individual students;Contributing to the development and evaluation of curriculum programs;Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum area(s).
