The IDA empowers Indigenous people to collaboratively manage Australia's desert land and achieve their social, cultural, environmental, and economic goals. Through advocacy, capacity-building, and collaborative projects, the IDA strengthens connections among desert land managers, enabling a united voice for desert country.The RoleReporting to the Corporate Services Manager, you'll provide executive support to the CEO while handling administrative, secretariat, and logistical duties for the COO, Board of Directors, and wider team. The IDA celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. The organisation has grown significantly over the last 5 years and this is a new role to support the progress and growth of the organisation.About youAs the EA & Senior Office Support, you'll have exceptional organisational and communication skills. You'll bring professionalism, sensitivity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst embodying IDA's values of fun, accountability, leadership in every role, honesty, passion and commitment. You'll need to be comfortable navigating a dynamic environment and be flexible with shifting priorities, duties, and workloads. As part of a growing and evolving organisation, you'll have a keen eye for detail and the ability to implement systems and workflows that enhance efficiency. You'll thrive in a collaborative team, always ready to support your colleagues and effectively prioritise responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide executive support to the CEO including diary and email management and the scheduling of meetings and travelPrepare documents, resources and presentations for meetingsProvide general administrative, secretariat and logistical support for events, meetings, workshops, seminars, teleconferences and travelManage meeting documentation - preparing agendas and supporting papersPrepare draft correspondence including letters, emails and presentations in line with guidance provided by the CEO, COO or wider management teamParticipate in operational planning and continuous improvement initiativesExperience and KnowledgePrevious experience in a senior support role is essential ideally as an EA or PAExperience in an Aboriginal or culturally diverse organisation is desirableExcellent organisational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentialityFlexible team player with the capacity to prioritise and meet deadlinesWillingness to travel to remote desert locations as neededUnderstanding of the social, cultural, and economic context of remote Indigenous communitiesIf you have experience supporting a CEO or senior executive and want to be part of an organisation making a genuine and meaningful impact, APPLY NOW.
