Do you have a passion for the hospitality industry, experience leading a team and have a keen interest in Events Management? We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Duty Managers to join the leadership team within Events Operations on a permanent Part-time basis.
The Role As a Food and Beverage Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage functions in Events Operations, which includes The Townsville Entertainment Centre, The Pavilion, and the numerous other events rooms at The Ville. Your exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail for ensuring high-quality service, and passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences will be essential for success in this role.
About You Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, including varying restaurant or bistro service periods, and strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to deliver exceptional service.Strong knowledge of barista made coffee, cocktails, beer, and wines is highly advantageous.Experience with Stock Management.Current qualifications including Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Management of Licensed Venue Certificate and Liquor Approved Manager Licence or willingness to obtain.Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation.Proven problem-solving abilities and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with premium guests, along with previous experience responding to and resolving disputes relating to the Responsible Service of Alcohol.Proficiency in computer systems and software applications related to food and beverage operations.Professional presentation and exceptional communication skills.Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, nights, and public holidays. Work in the region's premier destination for dining, events, and entertainment. Permanent Part-time position.Idyllic location in tropical North Queensland.Penalties apply on weekends, late nights, and public holidays. Uniforms supplied and laundered. Free car parking.Employee Assistance Program.Corporate discount on health insurance.Paid Parental Leave .Generous discounts across the Morris Group.Permanent career opportunities with pathways into leadership and management levels and between sister properties around Australia. About Us  The Ville is tropical North Queensland's premier destination for dining, events and entertainment; located in gorgeous Townsville boasting 300 days of sunshine every year.
